A Journey From Bach to Tchaikovsky
The season opens with a powerful program featuring Bach's Chaconne from Partita No. 2, Brahms' Double Concerto for Violin and Cello, and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4. Concertmaster Javier Chaparro and Assistant Principal Cellist Elizabeth Lee will showcase their exceptional talents in what promises to be a deeply moving performance.

Video Games Come to Life
You don't need to be a gamer to appreciate "Video Games Live," a concert that transforms popular video game music into symphonic masterpieces. This immersive experience combines orchestral performances with massive screen projections and lighting effects. Music from fan favorites like Halo, Skyrim, Kingdom Hearts, and The Last of Us will be featured in this part-symphony, part-rock show performance.
New Voices and Fresh Perspectives
"Fresh Voices and Ideas" showcases contemporary classical works, including David Michael Hyde's "Wildwood" and the world premiere of "The Paper Nautilus," a BVSO commission from composer Bryan Doherty. The program also features Bartók's mesmerizing "Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta," which helped shape the sound of films like "The Shining." Soprano Bethany Clearfield joins the orchestra for this exploration of musical imagination.
