About Central Texas Orthotics & Prosthetics LP
Central Texas Orthotics & Prosthetics, LP (CTOP) was founded in 1989 by Jonathan Cassens, CPO, LPO. Over the years the company has grown to fill a large facility that houses the patient exam rooms, administrative offices, and an on-site fabrication lab. Having everything in one central location allows us to measure, design, fabricate, assemble, fit, and adjust medical equipment in a timelier manner.
Our goal at CTOP is to provide personalized, high quality orthotic and prosthetic services to patients referred to our facility. We strive to increase the functional abilities of our patients through cooperation and coordination of care with local health care providers. Although it is not feasible to provide all of our services off site, we have expanded our services to include a Mobile Prosthetic Service if patients have transportation issues.
A Prosthetic device is used as a means to replace a missing limb and an Orthotic device is used to provide support, alignment, prevention, or correction of neuromuscular or musculoskeletal disease, injury, or deformity. Orthotic devices such as diabetic shoes, knee braces, and other sports braces are often overlooked as services we provide at CTOP.
Our practitioners and facility are certified by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics and licensed by the State of Texas. They also have over 45 years of combined experience working with patients in this field. The pride that we take in our work is conveyed in the quality of our services and the caring nature in which we treat our patients.
