Plenty of other places to park
Uzma Saboor (Eagle, Oct. 28) pointed out the inadequacy of parking spaces at the mosque in College Station.
Consequently, a number of people going to the mosque have to park their cars "in spaces of other surrounding properties."
This is clearly in violation of the city parking regulations. Apart from inconveniencing the people who live there, it does not help build a good community relationship. Property owners have every right to get the vehicles towed away for such violations.
The mosque leadership, I understand, advises people not to park in the nearby apartment complexes.
There is plenty of paid parking available within walking distance of the mosque. Parking your car in one of those spots is a much better alternative than running the risk of paying towing charges.
