Clarice Pivonka, 82, of Bryan passed away peacefully, Monday, January 19, 2015. Funeral Services are set for 10AM, Saturday, January 24 in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Frenstat Community in Burleson County Texas.
Visitation will be from 5-8PM Friday, January 23 with a Rosary recited at 6PM at the funeral home.
Clarice was born May 12, 1932 to the parents of Hiram and Ida (Maher) Chachere in Eunice, Louisiana where she was raised until moving to Bryan. She was a loving mother and loved traveling with her grandchildren and especially in their Volkswagen Van. Clarice enjoyed spending her free time visiting garage sales, playing bingo, and cooking her specialty, chicken gumbo.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 51 years, Ernest Pivonka; two sisters, Dora Jackson, and Henrietta McLeod.
Clarice leaves behind to cherish her memories her three sons; Gregory Lynn Pivonka and wife Laura, Jeffery Glenn Pivonka and wife Gay, James Pivonka and special friend Mary Hodges; one brother -in-law, Mert McLeod; one sister-in-law, Lillian Pivonka; five granddaughters, Terra Leinard, Lindsey Leinard, Bobbi Johnson, Hailie Bagley, and Dorian Cooper; four great grandchildren, Dakota Johnson, Ty Taylor, Ryleigh Johnson, Harper Johnson.
