Ruth Adele Beasley

Dec. 16, 1917 - Dec. 13, 2005

ROSEBUD - Graveside services for Ruth Adele Beasley, 87, of Holland are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Holland Cemetery.

A memorial service will follow at First United Methodist Church in Holland. Arrangements are under the direction of Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.

Mrs. Beasley died Tuesday at a Temple hospital. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include five daughters, Betty Jett of Holland, Naomi Van Noy of Cody, Wyo., Edith Lambert of Moody, Sandra Kohring of Holland and Kathryn Carter of Wheatland, Pa.; three sons, Bob McFerrin of Rosebud, Lewis McFerrin of Temple and R.T. McFerrin of Boerne; two sisters, Ruby Talbert of Georgetown and Edna Voldan of Corpus Christi; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Holland.

Kenneth Coleman

July 31, 1936 - Dec. 12, 2005

Services for Kenneth Coleman, 69, of Cedar Creek are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Wellborn Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to the time of services Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Coleman died Monday in Smithville. He was a retired heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include his wife, Ruthie Coleman of Cedar Creek; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Lee and Karen Coleman of Wellborn; a daughter and son-in-law, Vickie Lynn and Dwayne Saxon of Franklin; a sister, Glenda Goodman of Wellborn; his mother, Lillian R. Brown of Wellborn; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Orvin James 'Jim' Whiteman

July 31, 1929 - Dec. 10, 2005

MADISONVILLE - Graveside services for Orvin James "Jim" Whiteman, 76, of North Zulch are set for 11 a.m. Thursday at Willowhole Cemetery in North Zulch.

Arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home.

Mr. Whiteman died Saturday in Oklahoma. He owned and managed a carnival for many years.

Survivors include two sons, Orvin James Whiteman Jr. of Farmington, N.M., and Ricky Whiteman of Oklahoma City; a sister, Lois Whiteman of California; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Timothy O'Brien Pratt

Dec. 23, 1986 - Dec. 6, 2005

A memorial service for Timothy O'Brien Pratt, 18, of College Station is set for 3 p.m. Sunday at Christ United Methodist Church in College Station.

Arrangements are under the direction of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan.

Mr. Pratt died Dec. 6 as the result of an auto accident. He was a senior at A&M Consolidated High School.

Survivors include his mother, Judy Pratt of College Station; a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Cynthia Falco of College Station; two sisters, Jennifer Pratt of College Station and Michele Burr of Huntsville; a niece; and a nephew.

A memorial fund has been set up at Compass Bank, with proceeds going to the Special Olympics, Children's Miracle Network and Project Sunshine. Donations may be made at both bank locations, 1200 Briarcrest Drive in Bryan and 2405 Texas Ave. S. in College Station.

Fineva Nall

April 5, 1955 - Dec. 12, 2005

Graveside services for Fineva Nall, 50, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Friday at Bryan City Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan.

Mrs. Nall died Monday at her home. She was a registered nurse.

Survivors include her husband, John Nall of Bryan; two brothers, Keith E. Deshane Jr. and Robert Deshane, both of Ardmore, Okla.; her father, Keith E. Deshane of Tulsa, Okla.; and her mother, Helen Cryer of Bridgeport.

Billie Marie Bennett

April 26, 1922 - Dec. 13, 2005

CENTERVILLE - Services for Billie Marie Bennett, 83, of Huntsville are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville.

Burial will be at Centerville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m., and from 9 a.m. to the time of services Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bennett died Tuesday in Conroe. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Calvin "Pete" Bennett Jr. and his wife, Diann, of Chandler, Ariz.; a brother, A.C. Lemons of Huntsville; a sister, Patsy Maddux of Huntsville; two grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

John E. Meier

Nov. 26, 1927 - Dec. 12, 2005

SOMERVILLE - Services for John E. Meier, 78, of Somerville are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Somerville.

Burial will be in the Loewe Family Cemetery in Washington County. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to the time of services Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Meier died Monday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. He was a carpenter.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Bible of Somerville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Vanessa Meier of Nacogdoches and Donald Hardy of Somerville; a sister, Erna Stork of Houston; a brother, Arthur Meier of Boerne; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives.

Memorials may be made to the Loewe Family Cemetery.

Louie Dean Oldham

May 13, 1927 - Dec. 13, 2005

BREMOND - Services for Louie Dean Oldham, 78, of Bremond are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Grace United Methodist Church in Bremond.

Burial will be at Bremond Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Bremond Funeral Home.

Mr. Oldham died Tuesday at his home. He was a retired asbestos insulator worker.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Oldham of Bremond; two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy Dean and Alida Pollard Oldham of Waller and James Steven and Molly Hedrick Cox of Franklin; four daughters and sons-in-law, Diana Sue Blackford and her husband, Hersal, of Leadville, Colo., Beverly Gail Cox Swick and her husband, Ricky, of Bremond, Patricia Ann Oldham Seavolt and her husband, Brian, of Waco, and Susie Cox Redus and her husband, James, of Bremond; a brother and sister-in-law, Alfred Calvin Oldham and his wife, Janette, of Bremond; 20 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Evelena C. Meier

BRIDGEPORT - Graveside services for Evelena C. Meier, 88, of Bridgeport are set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at West Bridgeport Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Mrs. Meier died Wednesday in San Antonio. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Rose Meier of North Richland Hills; two daughters and a son-in-law, Pam and Bobby Williams of Normangee and Debbie Mann of San Antonio; a brother, Allen Campbell of Monroe, La.; a sister, Judy Panto of Houston; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lula R. Morille

Nov. 6, 1930 - Dec. 13, 2005

Services for Lula R. Morille, 75, of Bryan are set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Ms. Morille died Tuesday in Houston. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a sister, Dona Huckaby of Bryan; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Vincent C. and Marguerite Morille and Tony and Mary Ann Morille, all of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Adrian Guevara

Sept. 22, 1980 - Dec. 7, 2005

HEARNE - Services for Adrian Guevara, 25, of Hearne are set for 3:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hearne.

Burial will be at St. Jose Cemetery in Hearne. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Heartfield-Ritter Funeral Home in Hearne. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at the church.

Mr. Guevara died Dec. 7 in Madison County as the result of an automobile accident. He was a grocery stocker at Godwins Supermarket in Hearne.

Survivors include his parents, Ricardo and Margarita Guevara of Hearne; a brother, Carlos Guevara of Hearne; a sister and brother-in-law, Rosabina and Pepe Guerrero of Hearne; and a niece.

John 'Charlie' Terrell

Oct. 26, 1970 - Dec. 11, 2005

NAVASOTA - Services for John "Charlie" Terrell, 35, of Houston are set for 11 a.m. Friday at Truevine Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial will be at Dennis Bryant Cemetery in Navasota. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday at Jones Funeral Home in Navasota.

Mr. Terrell died Sunday in Houston. He was a service worker.

Survivors include two stepbrothers, Michael Anderson and John Anderson, both of Bryan; two stepsisters, Pamela Anderson and Regina Sweed, both of Bryan; five brothers, Billy Terrell of Houston, Bernard Williams of Lemesa, Troy Richardson of Bryan and Titus Richardson and Dural Richardson, both of Navasota; eight sisters, Marylyn Terrell of Houston, Monica Larry of Lemesa and Jackie Marcelle, Sharon Terrel, Vicki Pait, Barbara Richardson, John Luis Barrett and Peggy Johnson, all of Navasota.
