Annie Wyrick

April 3, 1921 - July 27, 2005

Services for Annie Wyrick, 84, of Madisonville are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

The Rev. Rodney Hobson of Lone Oaks Baptist Church will officiate.

Burial will be at Bryan City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wyrick died Wednesday in Madisonville.

She was born in Leon County and lived in Bryan for 60 years. She worked as a school cafeteria worker all around Brazos County. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Wyrick; and a son, James Brewster.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Pauline and Ray Nance of Piedmont, Okla., Shirley Davis of Chandler, Okla., and Carol and Leonard Ferrieria of Modesto, Calif.; two sisters, Estelle Williams of Angleton and Doris McGill of North Zulch; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Diane Michael Urban

Sept. 10, 1969 - July 21, 2005

ROCKDALE - Memorial services for Diane Michael Urban, 35, of Cameron are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Mrs. Urban died Thursday at Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

She was born in Denver and previously lived in Temple. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Martin Benjamin Buris of Cameron; a daughter, Stephanie Michael Urban of Cameron; her mother, Sharleen Lewis of Webster; her father, George M. Crider of Houston; her stepfather, Solomon D. "Sarge" Lewis of Milano; four sisters, Kristina Thompson of Webster, Kathy Dustejovsky of Abbott, Phillis Anderson of Katy and Bonnie Marso of Denver; two brothers, Mike Lewis of Somerville and Edward Lewis of Caldwell; her grandparents, George and Ruth Crider of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Chris D. Lunsford

April 26, 1989 - July 25, 2005

NAVASOTA - Services for Chris D. Lunsford, 16, of Anderson are set for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home in Navasota.

The Rev. Terrence Barnfield will officiate.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.

Chris died Monday as the result of an electrical accident.

He was born in Houston and was a student at Anderson-Shiro High School. He was an 11th-grader and was involved in agriculture classes. Chris was a junior volunteer firefighter with the Anderson Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Cindy and Javier Lee of Houston; his father, Destry A. Lunsford of Shepherd; his foster parents, Craig and Lois Barnfield of Anderson; four brothers, Destry Dugan Lunsford (serving with the U.S. Marine Corps), Justin Daniel Barnfield, Gavin Ray Barnfield and Garrett Lee Barnfield, all of Anderson; four sisters, Heather Darlene Lunsford of Goldsmith and Terren Ashley Barnfield, Tayla Anne Barnfield and Lauren Abigail Barnfield, all of Anderson; and his grandparents, Joyce Darlene Hartness of Porter, Peggy Sue Lunsford of Shepherd and Larry and Sue Anne Barnfield of Houston.

Willie M. Taylor

Oct. 27, 1920 - July 25, 2005

Services for Willie M. Taylor, 84, of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at G.W. Tabernacle.

The Rev. C.L. King of Mount Nebo Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be at Walker Settlement Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Jones-Washington Mortuary.

Mrs. Taylor died Monday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.

She was born in Robertson County and lived in Bryan for the past 20 years. She attended Wheelock School and was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H.R. Taylor Sr.

Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Issac and Mary Taylor, Willie L. Taylor, Jimmie and Pansy Taylor and the Rev. H.R. Jr. and Ethelene Taylor, all of Bryan; five daughters and a son-in-law, Mae Helen Johnson, Mattie Taylor and Ernestine and Cledis Jackson, all of Bryan, Eva M. West of Lubbock and Rosie Ford of Franklin; 73 grandchildren; 165 great-grandchildren; and 124 great-great-grandchildren.

Jeanette Adkins

Feb. 23, 1961 - July 24, 2005

Services for Jeanette Adkins, 44, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at United Full Gospel Baptist Church.

Bishop J.C. Ebbs Jr. will officiate. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.

Mrs. Adkins died Sunday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.

She was a lifelong resident of Bryan. She attended Bryan High School and worked at Texas A&M University.

Survivors include her husband, Johnny Jackson of Bryan; two sons, Charles Adkins and Clifford Adkins, both of Bryan; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Milton Miller Jr. and Michael and Gwen Martin, all of Bryan; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Erma Clemons and Rodney Jordan of Bryan, Jenifer Clemons and Ahmed Abdullah of Los Angeles and Jacquelyn Turner of Fort Worth; her parents, Beatrice Adkins Turner of Bryan and Floyd Turner of Fort Worth; and three grandchildren.

Scott Randall Spinale

Nov. 18, 1956 - July 26, 2005

CENTERVILLE - Services for Scott Randall Spinale, 48, of Houston are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home in Houston.

The Rev. Don Lee will officiate.

Burial will be at Leona Cemetery. The Rev. Anthony Cecil of First United Methodist Church in Centerville, Leona Methodist Church and Evans Chapel Methodist Church will officiate at the graveside service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home in Centerville.

Mr. Spinale died Tuesday at Methodist Hospital in Houston.

He was born in Jacksonville, Fla.

Survivors include his wife, Suzy Spinale; a son, Chris Spinale; a daughter, Wendy Spinale and her fiance, Dustin Koreba; his mother, Patricia Lovely; three brothers, Frank Spinale, Steve Spinale and Buddy Tipton; a sister, Jana Spinale; a grandson; and numerous other relatives.

Kathy R. Love

April 3, 1957 - July 23, 2005

NAVASOTA - Services for Kathy R. Love, 48, of Navasota are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Truevine Baptist Church in Navasota.

Burial will be at Dennis Bryant Cemetery off County Road 415.

Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday at Psalms Chapel in Navasota. A wake service will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Love died Saturday.

She was a lifelong resident of Navasota.

Survivors include her parents, Robert and Eva Love and Othella and Seth Humphrey, all of Navasota; a daughter, Cassandra Smith of Navasota; a son, Calvin Love of Navasota; three brothers and sisters-in-law; Melvin and Celeste Edwards of St. Petersburg, Fla., Robert and Paula Love of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Michael and Loretta Love of Navasota; five sisters and three brothers-in-law; Ethel and Willie Craig of Selma, Ala., Bonnie and Alvin Booker and Shewani Mathis, all of Navasota, Sharon and Andrew Peavy of Houston and Gwendolyn Franklin; two granddaughters; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Otis Greenwood Sr.

Feb. 5, 1933 - July 23, 2005

NAVASOTA - Services for Otis Greenwood Sr., 72, of Plantersville are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Missionary Camp Baptist Church in Navasota.

Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Plantersville.

Arrangements are under the direction of Jones Funeral Home in Navasota.

Mr. Greenwood died Saturday.

He was born in Plantersville.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Greenwood of Plantersville; and three sons, Otis Greenwood Jr., Terance Greenwood and David Greenwood Sr., all of Plantersville.

Nancy Burroughs

Aug. 27, 1947 - July 22, 2005

CENTERVILLE - Services for Nancy Burroughs, 57, of Belton are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton.

The Rev. Mike Bergan will officiate. Burial will be at Centerville Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home in Centerville.

Ms. Burroughs died July 22 in Ecuador.

She was born in Centerville and graduated from Centerville High School and Sam Houston State University. She retired from Temple College in 2000 after 31 years of teaching.

Mrs. Burroughs was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas in Buffalo.

Survivors include her companion, Tom Constantine; an aunt; and numerous cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Temple College Foundation or Phi Theta Kappa.

Edwin Martin Yargo Jr.

May 4, 1933 - July 27, 2005

NAVASOTA - Services for Edwin Martin Yargo Jr., 72, of Richards are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Bays Chapel Methodist Church in Richards.

The Rev. Floyd Hoke of Singleton Bible Fellowship Church will officiate.

Burial will be at Bays Chapel Cemetery in Richards.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.

Mr. Yargo died Wednesday at Grimes St. Joseph Health Center in Navasota.

He was born in Stoneham. He was a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Joe Ann Yargo of Richards; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Billy Yargo and Johnny and June Yargo, all of Richards; two daughters, Peggy Lechinger and Nancy Yargo, both of Richards; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Mary Yargo of Anderson and Sherman and Dorothy Yargo of New Waverly; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Larry Ward of Navasota, Dorothy and Elbie Ybarbo of Richards, Pauline and J.C. Brown of Dodge, Christine and Charles Pratt of Milano, Margie and Jimmie Conner of Buffalo and Albina and Jimmy Stephenson of Houston; and two grandchildren.

Orville Wayne Reed

April 19, 1940 - July 28, 2005

CALDWELL - Services for Orville Wayne Reed, 65, of Jarrell are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Dime Box.

Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Richland Cemetery in Mertens.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell.

Mr. Reed died Thursday at his home.

He was born in Moorewood, Okla.

He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Nilene Young.

Survivors include his wife, Lela Jo Reed of Jarrell; his mother, Julia Reed of Elk City, Okla.; four sisters, Juanita Davis of Waynoka, Okla., Virgie Region and Betty Stuart, both of Sayre, Okla., and Agnes Price of Elk City, Okla.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

James W. Bassett Sr.

June 24, 1950 - July 25, 2005

Services for James W. Bassett Sr., 55, of Houston are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church.

The Rev. Wade C. Davis of Munger Avenue Baptist Church in Dallas will officiate.

Burial will be at Wheelock Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.

Mr. Bassett died Monday in Houston.

He was born in Bryan and graduated from E.A. Kemp High School. He was a truck driver and a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Ruth Bassett of Houston; three sons, James Whitley Bassett Jr., Corey Glenn Bassett and Rodney Dwayne Bassett, all of Houston; two brothers, Wayne Windell Bassett of Houston and Curtis B. Bassett of Bryan; four sisters, Mary E. Bassett Sachell of Houston and Carolyn Bassett, Diane Bassett and Susie Davis, all of Bryan; his mother, Eula Mae Bassett of Bryan; and two grandchildren.
