Henry Ellen Wood Clark

Feb. 22, 1936 - Dec. 23, 2005

CENTERVILLE - Services for Henry Ellen Wood Clark, 69, of Centerville are set for 11 a.m. Thursday at Walters Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be at New Salem Cemetery in east Leon County. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday with the family present from 5 to 8 p.m.

Mrs. Clark died Friday. She taught physical education in the Deer Park and Clear Lake school districts.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Gina and David Painter of Spring; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Keith and Carlene Wood of Freeport and Joe Wood of Centerville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Tua and Ben Andrews of Brazoria and Dixie Wood and Phil Lamia of Houston; and two grandsons.

Rosa Bruna Almanza

Sept. 4, 1925 - Dec. 25, 2005

A funeral Mass for Rosa Bruna Almanza, 80, of Bryan is set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Santa Teresa Catholic Church. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Almanza died Sunday at Sheridan of Bryan. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Ascencion Almanza Sr. of Bryan; five sons and four daughters-in-law, Tony and Mary Almanza, Jesse Almanza, Ascencion "Ace" and Shirley Almanza Jr. and Erasmo and Gloria Almanza, all of Bryan, and Pedro and Sandra Almanza of Bolingbrook, Ill.; five daughters and sons-in-law, Mercedes and Gilbert Adams, Josey and Tony Medina and Janie and Tony Hernandez, all of Bryan, Melinda and Frank Aguirre of Baton Rouge, La., and Olga and Tony Sauseda of The Colony; one brother, Juan Ledezma of Monterrey, Mexico; 26 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Katie M. Lancaster

March 3, 1934 - Dec. 26, 2005

BELTON - Services for Katie M. Lancaster, 71, of Belton are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. Burial will be at Roberts Cemetery in Troy.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lancaster died Monday at her home. She was a hairdresser for more than 30 years.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Lancaster of Belton; three daughters, Tamara Maxwell and Ladonna M. Marshall, both of Belton, and Misty Alvarado of Salado; three brothers, Jurrell Beene of Friendswood, Daniel Beene of Olivehurst, Calif., and William Beene of Rockdale; two sisters, Ruth Applin of Hearne and Billie Nichols of Cooper; six grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

Memorials may be made to the Miller Heights Baptist Church or to The American Cancer Society.

Lois E. Coleman

Feb. 4, 1912 - Dec. 25, 2005

NORMANGEE - Services for Lois E. Coleman, 93, of Bryan and formerly of Normangee are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Cozart Funeral Chapel in Normangee.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Coleman died Sunday in Bryan. She was a housewife.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Virgil and Amy Coleman of Bryan; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Victor Allen Harrison

Dec. 4, 1964 - Dec. 25, 2005

MADISONVILLE - Services for Victor Allen Harrison, 41, of Bremond are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at J.M. Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville. Burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery in Normangee.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Harrison died Sunday at his home in Bremond. He was a carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Harrison of Bremond; his mother, Barbara Jean Harrison of Bremond; a son, Allen Harrison of Bremond; a daughter, Amanda Harrison of Bremond; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Patty Harrison of Plum Grove and Richard and Kathy Harrison of Regan; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Barbara Haislip of Bremond, Martha and Donny Ratliff and Cheryl and Sam Thacker, all of New Caney.

Richard 'Buck' Lewis

July 4, 1948 - Dec. 26, 2005

HEARNE - Graveside services for Richard "Buck" Lewis, 57, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery near Franklin.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home in Hearne.

Mr. Lewis died Monday in Bryan.

Survivors include his mother, Marie Liles of Franklin; four brothers, C.W. Richard of Neches, Clinton Richard of New Baden and Joseph Richard and David Gilbert, both of Franklin; three sisters, Patsy Ramirez of Palestine, Jeanette Martin of Hearne and Reanna Ferguson of Gunter.

Effie J. Karber

March 6, 1939 - Dec. 26, 2005

MADISONVILLE - Services for Effie J. Karber, 66, of Madisonville are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Madisonville Funeral Home. Burial will be at Midway Cemetery.

Mrs. Karber died Monday. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her mother, Leona Mae Phipps of Madisonville; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Glynn Jr. and Janet Karber and Kenneth Karber, all of Madisonville, and Daniel Karber of Ohio; a daughter and son-in-law, Becky Ferguson and Herbert Watson of Marquez; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Curtis and Sharon Phipps of Pearland and Ronnie and Glenda Phipps of Wheelock; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Marjorie and Cecil Corgey of Houston, Jessie Cassidy of Ohio, Edith and Sam Johnson of North Zulch and Elizabeth Ellison of Alvin; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Samuel E. Albritton Jr.

Dec. 20, 1925 - Dec. 27, 2005

Services for Samuel E. Albritton Jr., 80, of College Station are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. Burial will be at College Station Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Albritton died Tuesday. He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Rosa Nell Albritton of College Station; a son and daughter-in-law, Rusty and Kathy Albritton of Lyford; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sammye Jo and Carrol Harris and Susan and Sandy Burns, all of College Station; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

William E. Carnes

BREMOND - Services for William E. Carnes, 69, of Bremond are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Bremond Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mustang Prairie Cemetery near Bremond.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Carnes died Monday at Bremond Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was a house painter.

Survivors include three sons, Ronnie Carnes, Thomas Carnes and Terry Carnes; two daughters, Paula Reynolds and Christine Burns, both of Carthage; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny and Polly Carnes, James and Becky Carnes, all of Pasadena, and Jimmy and Nicki Carnes of New Caney; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
