Man accused of hit-and-run of 3 Houston-area teens

HOUSTON -- A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in the alleged hit-and-run of three students attempting to board a school bus in suburban Houston.

Bob Nichols Norfleet of Houston is charged with failure to stop and render aid. Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Ron Hickman says Norfleet's held on $10,000 bond, but he says the charge may be upgraded and the bond increased.

Hickman says Norfleet was arrested about 3 a.m. Tuesday at a girlfriend's home near his in northwestern Houston.

Three Jersey Village High School students were struck as they prepared to board a school bus Monday morning at a northwestern Harris County intersection.

Hickman says a 16-year-old boy remains hospitalized in stable condition with leg and shoulder fractures. A 15-year-old girl and 17-year-olf boy were treated for minor injuries and releasled.
