HOLDENVILLE, Okla. -- A Holdenville man says a concrete slab with the signature of billionaire oilman T. Boone Pickens has been removed from the driveway of a home he owns and taken to Pickens' ranch in Texas.

The slab was in front of the former home of Pickens' grandmother. The now vacant home is owned by David McCart who says he discovered the section missing June 22nd and says he's pursuing criminal charges against Pickens.

Pickens spokesman Jay Rosser says the section was removed when Pickens recently was in Holdenville to inspect enhancements to a family plot at the Holdenville cemetery. Rosser says police determined the slab was between the sidewalk and the street and therefore city property.

Pickens grew up in Holdenville and scratched his name in the concrete in 1946.
