Members of College Station-based Texas Task Force 1 returned Sunday to rain-soaked areas in North and Central Texas threatened by additional flooding.

Eleven swiftwater rescue squad members are headed to Eastland County, while another 15 members are destined for Parker County.

Members of the elite search and rescue team spent much of last week coordinating evacuations of Central Texas residents stranded by rising water.

Task force leaders are prepared for the latest deployment to continue through the end of the week, as the National Weather Service has forecast additional heavy rains for the already-flooded areas beginning Monday.
