A representative from the Mexican consulate in Houston will be in Bryan on Thursday to speak to the local immigrant community and provide information about services available through the office.
The informational meeting, which will be conducted in Spanish, is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Santa Teresa Catholic Church, 1212 Lucky St. It will be presented by the local organization CLUE (Comunidad Luchando Unida por la Educacion, or Community United in Promoting Education).
Also scheduled to attend is a Mexican transportation department representative, who will provide information about how vehicles are legalized in both Mexico and the United States after a person's residency is established.
Additional information will be provided by a representative from ConstruMex, a company that helps Mexicans living and earning money in the United States send materials and money back to Mexico to build homes.
Officers from the Bryan Police Department also will make a presentation at the meeting.
