A 23-year-old man was listed in fair condition at St. Joseph Regional Health Center after police said he was stabbed during a Saturday afternoon fight at a car wash.
Bryan police said there were about 20 to 30 people at the car wash on East Martin Luther King Jr. Street and North Washington Avenue when two men began arguing.
One of the men pulled a bat out of the trunk of his vehicle but put it back without incident once the fight was broken up by witnesses, authorities said.
Later, the two men began arguing again, but this time, one of the men - Bryan resident Scott Gibbs - was taken to the hospital with a reported stab wound, police said.
Authorities late Saturday said the incident still was under investigation and that witnesses still were being interviewed.
