College Station police were investigating Wednesday an armed robbery at a store the night before.
The robbery happened at Dollar Tree, 1517 Texas Ave., at about 10 p.m. Wednesday, Master Officer LeeAnn Carpenter said. A man demanded money while pointing a gun at an employee's face. He fired one shot into the air and ran away without any money, Carpenter said.
No arrests had been made late Wednesday.
The robber is described as standing 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt, dark blue baggy jeans, a colored sock hat and a dark-colored bandanna over the lower part of his face.
