A Bryan man was arrested Wednesday after leading police officers on a chase that caused a police car to be involved in an accident, officials said. Officers said the 29-year-old ran from a traffic stop around 5 p.m. An officer responding to the chase with lights and sirens was hit by a pickup at 23rd Street and Texas Avenue. Jason James, a Police Department spokesman, said the pickup driver was not cited, but the accident is under investigation. No one was injured in the wreck. The man accused of running from officers was arrested on multiple charges.
