Rod Run, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Central Park, College Station. The annual Rod Run event put on by the Bluebonnet Streetrodders continues on Sunday. The award ceremony will be held at 2 p.m.  For more information, visit www.bluebonnetstreetrodders.com.

National Walking Horse Association Region 6 Championship, all day. Brazos County Expo. For more information on the national walking horse competition, call 979-595-2800.

Wellborn Community Picnic, 12 p.m. Wellborn Community Center, College Station. A free community event to meet new people. Meats and drinks will be provided, attendees are invited to bring a side dish and/or desserts.

CLUBS

Standard Flower Show sponsored by the A&M Garden Club with Keep Brazos Beautiful, 1 to 5 p.m. Hilton College Station and Conference Center. This event will include educational exhibits, floral designs and horticulture displays.

Books & Beans Book Club, 4 to 5:15 p.m. Clara B. Mounce Public Library. The book club will be discussing The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley. All adult ages, genres and open minds are welcome, even non-coffee drinkers.
