A Wellborn Community Picnic will be held at 12 p.m. on Sunday at the Wellborn Community Center for anyone in the Wellborn area to come visit, have lunch and meet others. Meats and drinks will be provided. Please bring a side dish or dessert. For more information, contact Carrie Berry at



Art Step First Friday, 5 to 10 p.m. Downtown Bryan. This First Friday has an emphasis on the arts and include ArtFill's newest component -- cast concrete pieces that have been added this week, a farmer's market, the Jane Long Middle School Band at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, a movie in the park, Madagascar 3, a new exhibit at the SEAD Gallery, a movie showing of Madea's Family Reunion at Brazos Valley African American Museum, and a Marian Anderson String Quartet recital.

First Friday Carriage Rides, 6 to 10 p.m. LaSalle Hotel, Downtown Bryan. Enjoy a ride through Downtown Bryan and learn historical facts about downtown. $5 per person.

2013 Alzheimer's Association Caregiver Conference, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Peace Lutheran Church, 2201 Rio Grande Blvd., College Station. The Alzheimer's Association -- Houston and Southeast Texas Chapter -- will present a caregiver conference with speakers, a panel and activities. The 2nd Annual Celebrity Waiter Event, 5:30 to 9 p.m.  The Lemon Wedge in Downtown Bryan. To raise fund for Pink Alliance, guests will enjoy food and entertainment provided by local celebrity waiters, as well as live music and a silent auction. Bryan High School Color Guard Car Wash, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aaron's, 3516 S. Texas Ave., Bryan. The color guard is trying to raise money for summer camp, equipment, uniforms, etc.
