Funeral services were set Monday for two Blinn College students killed in a weekend car accident that remains under investigation by College Station police.
Lauren Bailey Crisp, 19, of Dripping Springs, and Denton James Ward, 18, of Flower Mound, died early Saturday morning after the driver of the vehicle they were in ran a red light at Texas Avenue and Holleman Drive, officials said.
The funeral for Ward will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Village Church in his hometown; a viewing is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Flower Mound Funeral Home.
Crisp's funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Dripping Springs Baptist Church.
A third teenager, Tanner Giesen, a 19-year-old from Flower Mound, was released from College Station Medical Center on Sunday after being treated for unspecified injuries, officials said.
The three teens were not wearing their seatbelts while riding in a Toyota 4-Runner driven by Samantha Bean, a 19-year-old College Station resident who was wearing her seatbelt, according to police.
Authorities said Bean was driving north on Texas Avenue when she ran a red light and a truck turning right onto Texas from Holleman struck the driver's side of the Toyota, causing it to spin until smashing into a lightpole, officials said.
The driver of the truck, Anish Tharappel, 19, of College Station, and his four passengers were wearing their seatbelts and were not injured.
Tharappel had the green light, officials said.
College Station police said they're still investigating the accident and no tickets have been issued. They are waiting on results of blood samples taken from both drivers following the accident.
Ward was majoring in fine arts at Blinn's main campus in Brenham, while Crisp was studying biology at Blinn in Bryan, said Brandon Webb, spokesperson for the college. Bean -- who's listed as a biology major at Blinn's Bryan campus -- suffered minor injuries.
Giesen, who was not a Blinn student, attended Edward S. Marcus High School with Ward.
Attempts to reach family and friends of the students were unsuccessful.
A Facebook memorial page was set up for Ward where his friends and family were posting condolences and memories.
