College Station might be three hours away from salt water, but that hasn’t gotten in the way of a team of Texas A&M University scientists who study the Gulf and predict the severity of storms – a job that is vitally important now that we are solidly in hurricane season with this week’s first tropical depression in the Gulf and apparently headed toward Louisiana and the upper coast of Texas.
