Butterflies in the Brazos
A large group of volunteers turned up at Bee Creek Park Sunday to help plant a Monarch Butterfly Garden alongside the wooded trails that meander along the back of the park better known as the location of Adamson Lagoon in College Station. The planting consisted of milkweed, the only food plant for monarchs and their caterpillars, and nectar plants with flowers oriented upwards to provide a platform for the butterflies to land and walk on.
