Bryan slugger and Texas A&M signee Reagan Boenker has been named a high school softball All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Boenker, who was one of two catchers selected to the NFCA first team, set Bryan single-season records with a .524 batting average and 55 runs batted in. She also is the Lady Vikings’ career leader in home runs (19), runs batted in (147) and doubles (38).

Boenker is the fourth Bryan softball player to earn All-American honors, joining LaNeshia Hawkins (2003), Reagan Towell (2005) and Calli Wood (2008).

The NFCA All-American team includes sophomore pitcher Samantha Show of Pearland, who has committed to sign with Texas A&M. A repeat selection and the Gatorade player of the year from Texas, Show went 30-3 with an 0.65 ERA and 357 strikeouts in 183 innings.
