Our nation’s veterans fearlessly scarified to protect our country and freedoms. And while planning a funeral is difficult for anyone, there is an increased level of responsibility in honoring those who have served.
Memorial Funeral Chapel celebrates and honors the brave heroes in our communities by ensuring they are forever remembered for their service. Military benefits require advanced planning, and the Chapel’s caring funeral planners work to ensure that you or your loved one is honored both properly and personally.

Military funeral honors
As professionals within the Dignity Memorial network, Memorial Funeral Chapel is honored to help veterans and their families coordinate the military funeral honors they are both entitled to and deserve. Mandated by U.S. law, any eligible veteran receives military funeral honors at no cost from the Department of Defense.
The professionals at Memorial Funeral Chapel will help coordinate this service and ensure that your ceremony is complete with the folding and presentation of the flag as well as the playing of “Taps” either via high-quality recording from a ceremonial bugle, or with a local musician. If desired, they can also assist in ordering a headstone, marker or medallion at no cost from the Veterans Administration.
Homeless Veterans Burial Program
There are many veterans who are homeless or indigent, having no family to claim them or plan a proper military burial service for or with them. Dignity Memorial believes that all eligible veterans should receive a dignified and honorable burial, and through a cooperative effort between Dignity Memorial funeral, cremation and cemetery providers, as well as the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, local medical examiners, coroners, veterans advocates and veterans organizations, a complete burial service is provided.
Providers donate various services, including preparation of the body, transportation, clothing, casket and funeral service coordination. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs also provides those eligible with opening and closing of the gravesite, a grave liner, headstone or marker, graveside ceremony and burial within a national cemetery. Since its inception, the Dignity Memorial Homeless Veterans Burial Program has provided proper military burial services for over 1,700 homeless veterans.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is proud to be part of the Dignity Memorial network, honoring our nation’s veterans through our various sponsorships and programs. They work to ensure service members receive a dignified and proper burial, helping the individual, family and loved ones throughout all aspects of the planning process.
