Last May seems like so long ago now especially considering what the drought is doing to all my fishing holes like this one in Deanville. I caught a lot of bass that day testing a fly I had tied up earlier in the week.
To say we've sweated out this summer is an understatement but that's nothing compared to the beating area lakes, creeks and rivers have taken suffering with heat exhaustion with many headed to complete stroke. As fall approaches and cooler weather sets in we have the right conditions for "turnover" on area lakes which will present a whole new set of challenges. ENOUGH ALREADY with the doom and dread! Let me get back to daydreaming about that beautiful day last May..
