The College Station City Council approved a contract Monday to allow a company to conduct a study for the potential of city-wide water and wastewater impact fee.
You can read more about that in The Eagle on Tuesday.
But until then, check out this back-and-forth on myBCS.com between College Station Water Services Director Dave Coleman and Timothy Delasandro (who withdrew his candidacy for City Council in the recent election and put his support behind Jana McMillan.)
There are a lot of points brought up between the two.
Delasandro (user name TimothyD) argues residents recently voted down a new utility fee — referring to the transportation user fee that was rejected by voters in November — and that the city should listen to its constituents.
Coleman (user name waterworks) responds that this is a different issue and that this proposal would decrease what residents are currently paying.
