Eight A&M Consolidated High School students competed with 25 other schools at the Aledo Bearcat UIL invitational academic meet on Dec. 10.

Results of the competition are:

Number Sense for ninth/10th grades: Jeffrey Chen, first; Rahul Srivastava, fourth; Sean Lau, fourth; and Paul Gustafson, sixth.

Number Sense for 11th/12th grades: Jessica Wang, first; and Samson Zhou, second.

Number Sense Team: Wang, Zhou and Chen, first.

Calculator for ninth/10th grades: Chen, first; Srivastava, second; Zhou, third; and Dimitar Popov, fourth.

Calculator for 11th/12th grades: Wang, first; Lau, second.

Calculator Team: Wang, Lau and Chen, first.

Computer Science: Gustafson, second; and Zhou, fourth.

Computer Science Team: Gustafson, Zhou and Wang, second.

Science for ninth/10th grades: Chen, first (top biology score); Srivastava, fifth; Gilbert Huang, fourth (top chemistry score); and Gustafson, sixth.

Science for 11th/12th grades: Wang, first (tie for top physics score); and Lau, first (tie for top chemistry score).

Science Team: Chen, Wang and Lau, first.

Mathematics for ninth/10th grades: Chen, first; Srivastava, second; Popov, fourth; Gustafson, fifth; and Lau, sixth.

Mathematics for 11th/12th grades: Zhou, first; and Wang, second.

Mathematics Team: Zhou, Chen and Wang, first.

Allen Academy has announced that Kyung Seok Ko and Ji Hoon Kim both received a perfect score of 800 on the SAT I Math section.

Additionally, three students scored perfectly on SAT II subject tests. The SAT II subject tests differ from the SAT I test because it is designed to measure the student's knowledge and skills in particular subject areas and their ability to apply that knowledge. Students take this test to demonstrate to colleges their mastery of specific subjects.

Joseph Choi received a perfect score of 800 on both the Chemistry and Math 2C SAT II subject tests. Kim scored a perfect 800 on the Math 2C SAT II subject test, and Chun Wu scored a perfect 800 on the Chinese with Listening SAT II subject test.
