Eagle Staff Report
Two men remained jailed on felony drug charges Thursday following overnight raids by College Station police.
Jose Mireles, 27, and James Wright, 17, were arrested in separate busts at two College Station homes.
Police served Mireles, a Bryan resident, with three first-degree felony warrants for delivery of a controlled substance while they performed a drug-related search at a home in the 2800 block of Normand Drive, police said. Officers also seized more than $1,600 from him. He was being held in the Brazos County Jail on $50,000 bond.
Two College Station residents, Jeremy Daniel, 24, and Leyla Kluck, 21, also were arrested during the Wednesday night search and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Both were released from jail Thursday after posting $2,000 bail.
A few hours later, police arrested Wright at a home in the 1300 block of Airline Drive after about 52 grams of methamphetamine and 1 gram of cocaine were found inside the residence, officials said.
Wright, a College Station resident, was charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver, a first-degree felony, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a state jail felony based on the amount. Officers also seized $842 from him. He was being held in the Brazos County Jail on $35,000 bond.
