Stuff the Bus drive kicks off Saturday

Eagle Staff Report

The annual Stuff the Bus two-week school supply drive kicks off Saturday in College Station.

Junior League volunteers will be accepting donations and supplies from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the parking lots of Target and Office Depot.

Drive organizers said they are hoping to haul in enough supplies to outfit 9,300 Bryan and College Station students.

Most-needed items include dry erase markers; highlighters; construction and manilla paper; composition books; three-hole punches; eight-subject notebook dividers; and two-inch, three-ring binders.

Additional donation boxes will be scattered at Bryan-College Station area banks, businesses and churches.
