DALLAS - Southwest Airlines Co. will sell seats on ATA Airlines connecting flights through Las Vegas to places such as Honolulu, Seattle and West Palm Beach, Fla., beginning Aug. 4.
Under the agreement an-nounced Tuesday, Southwest and ATA will exchange passengers and luggage at Las Vegas McCarran Airport; travelers will be able to buy tickets from either airline.
A customer could fly to Las Vegas on Southwest and connect to an ATA flight to Honolulu.
The move by Dallas-based Southwest expands its partnership with ATA.
Southwest shares rose28 cents, or 2 percent, to close at $14.05 Tuesday on the New York Stock Exchange.
