Pate-Parent Wedding

Sheri Lynn Pate and Marcel Parent, Jr., of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, were united in marriage on Saturday, June 26, 2004, at 5:00 p.m. at Messina Hof Winery in Bryan. The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Tim Skaggs, Associate Pastor of Central Baptist Church.

The parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Sam B. Pate, Jr., of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Mr. and Mrs. Marcel Parent, Sr. of Montreal.

Grandparents include Sam B. Pate of Bryan and the late Virginia Pate and the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bangemann, formerly of Helmstedt, Germany.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Matron of honor was Linda Weekley, sister of the bride of Blackwater, Missouri. Serving as flower girl was Grace Bumguardner of Albany, Texas, cousin of the bride.

Best man was Steve Weekley, brother-in-law of the bride, of Blackwater. Ring bearer was Jake Bumguardner of Albany, cousin of the bride.

Ushers included Randy Jones, cousin of the bride, of Bryan, and Ryan Weekley, nephew of the bride, of Blackwater. Attending at the bride’s book was Jennifer Jones, cousin of the bride.

Bonnie Pate, aunt of the bride, assisted the bride with wedding arrangements.

Following the ceremony, a dinner reception was held at Messina Hof. The couple is residing in Montreal, after their honeymoon trip to Cancun.
