The Area Agency on Aging Elder Rights Program offers health counseling and advocacy as well as benefits counseling. Through May 15, get help completing your Medicare Part D forms; for information about Medicare Part D: Bobbie Gail Jeffries at 595-2800 ext. 2025 or Susie Brown at ext. 2024.

Volunteers are needed to make donations and support the Silver Star Room. Victims of adult abuse and neglect need all toiletry items, razors, tissues, dish towels, paper towels, washcloths, gloves, pajamas, socks, slippers, housecoats, stationery, stamps, ready-to-eat food, Ensure, powdered milk, bleach, bug spray, household cleaners, brooms, dust pans, bed linens, pillows, light bulbs, large-print books, handkerchiefs, mops, fans, space heaters, adult diapers, bed liners, sweaters and blankets; items must be new/unused and may be delivered to the Bryan APS office, 2400 Osborn Lane. Community Emergency Response Team training is held periodically in Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Robertson, and Washington counties. To help family, neighbors and the community in a disaster, sign up for training.
