Our Savior’s Lutheran Church vacation Bible school program called Davey & Goliath’s Great Adventure will be from 5:45 to 8 p.m. June 27 through June 30.  

A meal will be served each night. Classes and activities will be available for all ages, including adults. A nursery will be provided. The week will conclude with a pool party at Adamson Lagoon.

Officials with Faith United Church of Christ said they are inviting children ages 5 to 12 to participate in what’s called Construction I.N.C. vacation Bible school from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. For more information, call 823-0135.

Bethel Baptist Church vacation Bible school will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for grades K-6. For more information, call 260-8944. The Bryan church is located at 2402 S. College Ave.

Children who are 3 years of age and up to the fourth grade are invited to the A&M Church of Christ vacation Bible school from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. For more information, call 693-0400.

Evangelical United Church of Christ in Lyons is hosting a homecoming fund-raiser from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 27.

Proceeds will go to the church building fund.

A welcome recreation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., a special historical worship service starts at 10:30 a.m., the barbecue lunch is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and live entertainment is from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Barbecue plates for dining in or carryout are $6 a plate, and reservations must be made by Thursday. Raffle tickets will be sold six for $5 and are available from any church member.

Camp Sonshine will have Junior Week for ages 9 to 11 Sunday through Friday and Primary Week for ages 6 to 8 June 27-30. To attend either of these weeks, contact Bill Van Winkle, pastor of Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church, at 979-779-2297.

Scholarships are available for those unable to afford the camp.
