Greensage-Hix Wedding

Ann Marie Greensage and Jarrod Shane Hix were united in marriage on Saturday, May 1, 2004, at five o’clock in the evening at Central Baptist Church in College Station, Texas.

The Reverend Chris Osborne officiated the double ring ceremony. Dr. Ben Welch, pianist and soloist, and Diana Steelman, organist, provided the music. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Briarcrest Country Club. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at C&J’s Barbecue in Bryan. Betty Lawrence of Houston and Jo Nell Greensage of Bryan, aunts of the bride, hosted a bridal luncheon at Messina Hof.

The bride is the daughter of Billy and Debbie Greensage of Bryan. She is the granddaughter of Imoege Hailey and the late Richard Hailey, and Doris Greensage and Herman Greensage all of Bremond. Parents of the groom are Terry and Becky Hix of College Station. Grandparents of the groom are Dorothea and Him Howell and the late Leroy Hix, and the late Hartense and Cecil Awtry all of Odessa. The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. She carried a bouquet of colorful roses wrapped with a handkerchief passed down to her by her great-great grandmother.

Katie Young of Bryan served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Marsha Sanders of Houston, Lori Eubanks of Bryan, Shauna Maynard of Houston, Chelsi Hix and Misty Hix, sisters of the groom, of College Station.

Adam Greensage, brother of the bride, of College Station served as Best Man. Groomsmen included Michael Taylor of San Antonio, Ben Burroughs of College Station, Stephen Osborne of Lewisville, Jason Godeaux of College Station, and Ryan Dieringer, cousin of the bride, of Houston.

Members of the houseparty included Cheryl Comer of Manhattan, Kansas, Glenda Dieringer, cousin of the bride, of Houston, Leah Greensage, cousin of the bride, of Bryan, and Sarah Sellers of Bryan.

Ann is a 1998 graduate of Bryan High School and received a B.B.A. degree in Finance from Texas A&M University, Class of 2002. She is employed by Aggieland Title Company in Bryan.

Jarrod is a 1998 graduate of A&M Consolidated High School and received a B.B.A. degree in Finance from Texas A&M University, Class of 2002. He is a Financial Consultant with A.G. Edwards in Bryan.Following a honeymoon trip to Grand Cayman Island, B.W.I., the couple will make their home in Bryan.
