Alpha Chi Omega presented $16,500 to Phoebe's Home at a celebration held April 10 in College Station.

This was the largest contribution ever made by Alpha Chi Omega to Phoebe's Home, an emergency shelter for victims of domestic abuse and their children.

The money was raised from the sorority's annual Paint War held in March in conjunction with a concert at Hurricane Harry's the evening before. The music featured Bleu Edmondson, Brandon Rhyder and Rich O'Toole. "Alpha Chi Omega is honored to have the opportunity to contribute to Phoebe's Home," said President Morgan Frame.

Besides Frame, attending the presentation were: Caroline Morn and Emily Rogers, the Paint War co-chairs; Linda Chandler, program director for Phoebe's Home; Jason Weidner, volunteer coordinator for Phoebe's Home; Wynne Clark, director of programs for the Twin City Mission; Doug Weedon, executive director of the Twin City Mission; and Jerry Cole, president of the Twin City Mission board of directors.
