Miss Katie Christine Guest and Mr. Jarod Ross Andrews were united in marriage on Saturday, July 7, 2007, at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Bryan. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Brother Tim Owens.

The music for the ceremony was provided by a string quartet with violin soloist, Adam Mikeal; pianist, Diana Steelman; trumpeter, Charlie Johnson; guitarist, Jimmy Eller, uncle of the bride; and vocalists, Adam Anthony and Callie Guest, sister of the bride.

The bride’s parents hosted the reception at the Hilton Hotel following the ceremony, with music provided by the South 6 Band. The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner on the eve of the wedding at Ozona Bar and Grill.

A bridesmaid’s luncheon, hosted by Mrs. Nancy Bryan, Mrs. Yolanda Gutierrez, Mrs. Dawn Hitt and Mrs. Shannon Scarmardo, was held the day before the wedding at Christopher’s World Grill.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary D. Guest of Bryan. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Daphne Eller of Bryan, Mr. Jim Eller of Wheelock, Mrs. Jenna Guest of Bryan and the late Mr. Calvin R. Guest of Bryan. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay W. Andrews of Brownfield. He is the grandson of Mrs. Kay Pollard of Artesia, N.M., and Mr. Ralph Pollard of Roswell, N.M., and Mr. and Mrs. Archie Andrews of Lubbock.

Mrs. Carrie Guest Kubichek, sister of the bride, of Bryan served as the matron of honor. Miss Callie Guest and Miss Courtney Guest, sisters of the bride, of Bryan served as the maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Kathy Gutierrez of Grand Prairie, Miss Stephanie Lyles of Bryan, Mrs. Lindsay Hitt Rosenbaum of Dallas, Miss Jennifer Scarmardo of Bryan, Mrs. Erin Eller Trant, cousin of the bride, of Bryan and Miss Jayme Wakefield of Dallas.

The flower girls were Miss Skylar Andrews and Miss Audrey Andrews, nieces of the groom, of Magnolia. House party members were Miss Bless Bond of Bryan, Miss Rebecca Lipsey of Houston, Miss Lauren McDonald of Austin and Miss Elisha Scarmardo of Bryan.

Mr. Justin Ball of Houston served as the best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Cody Andrews, brother of the groom, of Bastrop, Mr. Travis Andrews, brother of the groom, of Magnolia, Mr. Matthew Booker of Corpus Christi, Mr. Casey Guest, brother of the bride, of San Marcos, Mr. Trey Jones of Austin, Mr. Jeff Kubichek, brother-in-law of the bride, of Bryan, Mr. Gavin McQueen of Midland and Mr. Steve Shade of College Station.

The ring bearers were Kolby Kubichek and Kyle Kubichek, nephews of the bride, of Bryan and Hunter Andrews, nephew of the groom, of Magnolia.

Ushers for the ceremony were Mr. Hunter Copeland of Houston, Mr. Brandon Davis of Fort Worth, Mr. Nick Graves of College Station, Mr. Josh Uberta of McKinney and Mr. Josh Wood of College Station.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Bryan High School. She is a 2005 graduate of the Blinn College School of Nursing. She is currently employed by BCS Heart in College Station as a nurse.

The groom is a 1999 graduate of Meadow High School. He is a 2005 graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s of science degree in applied exercise physiology. He is currently employed by Vaughn Construction in Houston as a project engineer.

Following their honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean, Katie and Jarod will reside in Houston.
