Texas A&M junior Marki Hoyne made the United State’s under-20 rugby team and will compete with the squad in the U20 Nations Cup set for July 11-21 in Nottingham, England.
Hoyne, who plays for the A&M club team, made it through tryouts that included 160 players in four regional camps in March. Hoyne tried out at the Atlanta camp.
The Nations Cup is held every two years. England won it in 2011 with USA second, Canada third and South Africa fourth.
