Start the New Year with Amish Furniture for Generations Every new year comes with the chance for new beginnings. Resolutions are made, and goals are set. The first week of January, all the gyms are packed. Many people curb their vices, and others attempt to better themselves, all because the Earth went around the Sun again. Come February, things get a little tougher. The daily trips to the gym turn weekly. It becomes harder and harder to resist the siren’s song of dessert. Old habits that you had hoped died, rise from the grave. Most New Year’s resolutions don’t last. But, at Amish Furniture for Generations, everything lasts, and will for years and years to come. “The ‘For Generations’ part of our name is not just to take up sign space,” said Kent Lyons owner of Amish Furniture for Generations. “The furniture we sell will last literally for generations.” Shoppers can find the furniture they want with their choice of wood and finish. Wood choices include cherry, brown maple, oak, ¼-sawn oak, hickory, walnut and more. All pieces are 100 percent made in the United States, by Amish craftsmen in Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Amish Furniture pieces are “heirloom quality” – built to outlast their owners and be passed onto the next generation. The pieces are made using solid wood construction and dovetailed drawers. Drawers won’t fall apart, and there are no veneers, particleboard or laminates used to reduce the costs of making the furniture. Like many industries these days, there are production delays. But good things come to those who wait, and the sooner you order your custom furniture, the sooner you can start enjoying it. “We have some inventory in stock, but for custom pieces it is best to order now,” said Kent. Kent invites people to come in and browse the selections available and he is ready to consult and help you choose the options to create the furniture of your dreams. Amish Furniture for Generations carries furniture for every part of the home. From dining sets, to bedroom furniture, desks and office furniture, shelving and entertainment centers.
